Gold Heart, from Northern Virginia is a creative young bluegrass band that features the distinctive talents of the Gold Sisters--Analise, Jocelyn & Shelby.  Pure family harmony, solid lead vocals and energetic pickin' describes just some of their musical abilities.  Their unique "slow drive" sound is unmistakable and captivating.  All three Gold sisters are gifted songwriters and arrangers with Jocelyn having penned most of the bands remarkable material.  Since the bands first stage performance in 2005, the girls have captured hearts & impressed audiences from coast to coast. The girls “cut their teeth” singing acappella at church and Mama taught them how to harmonize their voices together.  Their Daddy kept the truck rollin’ to the best bluegrass and gospel music that he could find.  Good music and singing from the heart is something the whole family enjoyed on the long road trips to and from their home in the country. Both sides of the family have deep roots in music with songwriters, singers and front porch pickers thick in their family trees.     

Gold Heart has competed at prestigious contests in Nashville, Tennessee; Galax, Virginia; Chesterfield, Virginia; LaGrange, Georgia; Yadkinville, North Carolina; & Berlin, Maryland.  Each time they have done considerably well. Most recently, Gold Heart competed at the 2008 SPBGMA International Bluegrass Band Contest in Nashville and came in 4th place internationally. Gold Heart took top honors and walked away as 1st place Champions at the Berlin Fiddler's Convention in September of 2007. Gold Heart also won 2nd place at the Virginia Folk Music Association's 2007 State Competition in Chesterfield, Virginia. Another significant accomplishment came in August of 2007 when Gold  Heart competed at the 72^nd Annual Old Fiddler’s Convention in Galax, Virginia.  They placed 14^th among 178 other competing bluegrass bands. It was an incredible achievement for the young ladies who had picked up their instruments only two years prior to the Galax event.
